Dr. Kim Kimpel is a graduate of Lake Forest Academy High School (Lake Forest, IL); Milliken University (B.A.); Biola Univeristy (M.O.L.) and The California School of Theology (D.Min.). She was born as raised on Chicago’s Southside and grew up in the middle-class East Side neighborhood of South Shore. She is an avid reader of books on Christian theology and self-improvement, but for pleasure reading, she’s been known to curl up in her easy chair with a bowl of freshly popped corn and crack open the lastest offering by James Pattereson. Dr. Kimpel has been honored many times throughout her academic and work careers for her service to mankind-at-large. She has a passion for people and a deep seated desire to help them to get the most out of their lives. It was this desire to help others through tough circumstances that led her to create The Christmas 365 Foundation (www.thechristmas365foundation.org).
The non-profit organization adopts needy american families at Christmas and then supports them all year long by providing the basics of life… the things that the more fortunate of us can sometimes take for granted. Dr. Kimpel currently resides in Southern California with her husband of twenty years, Larry; their sixteen year old son, Jordan and the newest addition to the Kimpel household, “Rascal”… their eight pound, six ounce “Pound Puppy”.
